The E46 wing is positioned above the low pressure bobble that forms behind the passenger compartment. Sitting in clean air, the wing provides great downforce, with minimum drag.

Aeromotions had the pleasure of working with Kyle Bacon, and RRT Racing, to enhance the aerodynamics of a TTS prepared E46 M3’s. After installing and tuning the R.Static wing, Kyle went on to deliver a strong performance at NJMP.
Kyle Bacon piloting the #72 NocabRacing.com E46 M3 dominated TimeTrials (TTS Class) Saturday & Sunday at New Jersey Motorsports Park. 1st place finishes both days with nearly a 3second margin to 2nd place in the field of five. Stamping the record books with a TTS Lap Record and personal fast lap of 1:28.273 in the final session on Sunday afternoon.

After a decisive victory at NJMP, the crew went on to VIR. The track report, and accompanying TraqMate data says it all:
I had more highspeed understeer than we wanted the weekend we were at NJMP-Thunder so added a Ground Control rear sway (set to ~115% stiffness to stock). Much less understeer in the fast stuff no noticeable additional oversteer in the slow stuff. Average speed through the climbing esses improved from previous best of 108mph to 116mph. No measurable difference in terminal speed at end of either straight compared to pre-aero setup. Car development coming along nicely.
