Born in a Wind Tunnel.

The Dynamic Wing™ was born in a wind tunnel at MIT.   Countless hours of refinement led to its signature high downforce, low drag design. While we were working on the 180mph S variant, Budez commissioned the ultimate super car wing, the 200+ mph S2. Tailor made for the Budez GT-R, the wing design was optimized through full car Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) analysis.

Merged

Refined on the Race Track.

On December 29th, 2008, twelve R35 GT-R’s took over Buttonwillow racetrack in California.  Running on the highly modified Budez GT-R, the Dynamic Wing S2 shaved an average of 2.29 seconds off the two minute lap time (#13 CW). The static aeromtions wing is worth one second off a two minute lap.

After a full day of testing the wing, Pro driver Gary Sheehan summarized the experience:

“. . . the AeroMotions guys were great to work with and turned a bit of a skeptic into a believer. Once we got the wing dialed in and turned it to Active mode, it gave the car quite a bit more stability despite the awkwardness of the [street] tires and inspired a lot more driver confidence.”

Tuned For Your GT-R.

Since that first day of GT-R track testing, AeroMotions has spent countless days at the track refining the GT-R tune with top teams and drivers. The result? Track records are breaking around the world. Each of these GT-R’s holds a track record. Some hold a few.

The R2 Wing.

The R2 Wing is available in two fitments. The R2.TWO OE mounts in the same location as the factory Nissan wing. The custom made feet reinforce the trunk to handle the huge increase in downforce. The included drill guide lets you accurately add a few more holes for greater strength. (These holes get covered up by the OEM wing if you ever want to return the car to stock.) In short, it’s a plug and play wing that installs in a matter of hours.

The R2.TWO CF mounts to the Aeromotions carbon trunk lid. Made in the USA, the Carbon Kevlar lid shaves 4lbs off the stock deck lid, and comes reinforced the handle the high downforce of the R2. It also runs the narrow GTR feet for the cleanest possible look.

The S1 and S2 Wings.

The S1 mounting location was optimized for aerodynamics. The S1 features a single wing blade, while the S2 features split wing halves for enhanced weight transfer during cornering. The S2 is identified by the center plate.

Perfect Balance – The R35 Splitter.

The R35 splitter was designed to win. The aero was tuned through full computer simulation. Notice the CNC machined venturies on the botom of the splitter. They perfectly feed air into the factory venturis built into the Nissan OEM bumper. The composite material is built for endurance racing. It’s wear and abrasion resistance are unmatched. The 3-piece design allows you to easily replace part of the splitter if you manage to take a corner off.

Plug and Play Carbon Deck Lid.

You can reinforce the stock trunk, per the install guide, or buy our plug and play carbon trunk. Made in the USA, the carbon trunk comes pre-drilled to mount both the S2 wing, and the computer underneath. Wiring is clean and simple, and the installation couldn’t be easier. More importantly, this carbon trunk is specifically designed to handle the huge downforce of an Aeromotions wing.
